porque#2

:: Your Love (Toy Selectah Mex-More Remix) - The Outfield

Josie's on a vacation far away
Come around and talk it over
So many things that I wanna say
You know I like my girls a little bit older
I just wanna use your love tonight
I don't wanna lose your love tonight

I ain't got many friends left to talk to
No one's around when I'm in trouble
You know I'd do anything for you
Stay the night but keep it undercover
I just wanna use your love tonight
I don't wanna lose your love tonight

Trying to stop my hands from shakin'
Somethin' in my mind's not makin' sense
It's been a while since we were all alone
I can't hide the way I'm feelin'

As you leave me please would you close the door
and don't forget what I told you
Just 'cause you're right - that don't mean I'm wrong
Another shoulder to cry upon
I just wanna use your love tonight
I don't wanna lose your love tonight

Yeah

I just wanna use your love tonight
I don't wanna lose your love tonight
I just wanna use your love tonight
I don't wanna lose your love tonight

:: Basement Party - The Cool Kids

They say if you ain't got no money take yo broke ass home
I say if you got you two dollars, then come through to my party
But get bent before you come because for that liquor I'll be charging
And take down these directions
It's right past the intersection
Make a right at the light
It's the first house on the left
And get it, got it good
You made it, I knew you would
We got them drinks up in the back and them chic-key's looking good
Hold up, here come one ayy what's yo name hun?
Jackie brown, yea that pop
Ayy I'm chuck, this mikey rocks
And let me introduce you to some kids that you ain't used to
Yep we bet that we ride bikes
Carrying bones and jordan 5's
Got every single color so
Just in case you wonder
My party's is always live
As a mother is for supper and
In the summer when it's hotter then the oven
We the coolest kids we know
So you know we into something
That involve doing something
With a trunk to get that bass drum pumping
It's my party, so get up
If you don't you getting jumped

What's happening?
Where's the party?
Say you heard me say there's a party
Right around my way
So if you finna start it
Then don't do nothing small
Get everyone involved and
Say that it's a party
What's happening?
Where's the party?
Say you heard me say there's a party
Right around my way
So if you finna start it
Then don't do nothing small
Get everyone involved and
Say that it's a party

One to the two
Three to the four
Chuckey and mike is at yo door
We don't knock
We straight on that
"when yo album drop"
You can wait on that
I don't don't like the questions you ask so
Let me tell you a little about myself
Everywhere I go I act an ass
And if you ain't know
Better go and ask
At every party
I hop the bar
And then dance with the chicks
On top of that
Bartender be like, get off of that
I'm like not till I get rich off of rap
And I look to the left, she dipping her hips
And making her lips, at me I guess
And I look to the left and look to the right
Point to my chest and she was like "that's right"
Now let me tell you the recipe
To all you niggas tryna get like me
It takes a scoop of being cool
And the rest will be included
When you purchase my movie
Cause if you knew what I knew
You would prolly try to
Do whatever I do
Prolly move to chicago
If you want instructions
Then I could prolly front them
Just as long as you shortys pay attention
So if you ugly keep you hands by yo side
But if you not then put em' in the sky
And if you knowin' what it is
There's a party at the crib
Come and party with the kids
What's happening?
Where's the party?
Say you heard me say there's a party
Right around my way
So if you finna start it
Then don't do nothing small
Get everyone involved and
Say that it's a party
What's happening?
Where's the party?
Say you heard me say there's a party
Right around my way
So if you finna start it
Then don't do nothing small
Get everyone involved and
Say that it's a party

baile cumbia

Baixa aí e começa a entender.

hinos do neu #3 - dois de uma vez

:: Daylight - Matt & Kim

we cut the legs off of our pants
threw our shoes into the ocean
sit back and wave through the daylight
sit back and wave through the daylight

slip and slide on subway grates
these shoes are poor mans ice skates
fall through like change in the daylight
fall through like change in the daylight

i miss yellow lines in my roads
some color on monochrome
maybe i’ll paint them in myself
maybe i’ll paint them in myself

these sidewalks liquid then stone
building walls and an old pay phone
it rings like all through the daylight
it rings like all through the daylight

chorus
and in the daylight we can hitchhike to maine
i hope that someday i’ll see without these frames
and in the daylight i don’t pick up my phone
cause in the daylight anywhere feels like home

I have five clocks in my life
and only one has the time right
i’ll just unplug it for today
ill just unplug it for today

open hydrant rolled down windows
this car might make a good old boat
and float down grand street in daylight
and float down grand street in daylight

and with just half of a sunburn
new yellow lines that i earned
step back and here comes the night time
step back and here comes the night time

chorus
and in the daylight we can hitchhike to maine
i hope that someday i’ll see without these frames
and in the daylight i don’t pick up my phone
cause in the daylight anywhere feels like home

:: Silver Tiles - Matt & Kim

three teeth left his silver smile
brushed clean three metal tiles
and tiles like parking lots
three miles it never stops boy
you'll be okay boy
your silver tiles

and all our hopes
and all our friends
through parking lots
it's where we've been

shoes have grown mighty old
pants faded knees with holes
stitched up now silver thread
fixed up now like i said boy
you'll be okay boy
your silver thread boy
your silver tiles
your silver bones

and all our hopes
and all our friends
through parking lots
i found this
b i got in school

three teeth left his sliver smile
burnt skin from miles and miles
of crossing parking lots
three miles it never stops boy
you'll be okay boy
your silver tiles
your silver bones
with silver sides

and all our hopes
and all our friends
through parking lots
i found this
b i got in school

and all our hopes
and all our friends
through parking lots
i found this
b i got in school
it's the b i got in school

se pá

Semana passada recebi o Edu e a Nathalia, do blog Per Raps, pra uma entrevistinha. A primeira parte tá aqui. Vale prestar atenção no trampo deles.

Can, já ouviu falar? Deveria.

Quem esteve no show dele no SESC alguns anos atrás viu que o lance é poderoso.

hinos do neu #2

:: Run To Your Grave - Mae Shi

Run, run, run to your grave
Run, run, run to your grave

Run, oh, run, run to your grave
Run, oh, run, run to your grave

Cause they're coming for your brain but
They will leave with your head
And they've got money and science
And they will leave you for dead

Sleep, sleep, sleep in your tomb
Sleep, oh, sleep, sleep in your tomb

Don't bury your body with your diamonds
Cause you know they'll dig up your grave
And don't hold on to your riches
Cause when you die, you're a slave

And emotion is a simple test to the synapse
Don't let it fool you into thinking that you've got brains
And the more you feel, the more you will take with you
So cut the flesh and let your blood flow to the drain

You've got to
Tear, burn, soil the flesh
God will do the rest
Scream, cry, pray, confess
God will do the rest

Scream, cry, pray, confess
God will do the rest
Scream, cry, pray, confess
God will do the rest

hinos do neu #1

Seguinte: vou começar a colocar aqui as músicas que fazem as noites do Neu tão legais. Então baixa o som, acompanha as letras e sai pro abraço no fim de semana. Segura o primeiro:

:: Go Ballistic - Ghislain Poirier feat. Zulu

When the world breaks down
All the people dem a turn pure rebel
Ain’t no rules right now
The situation reach a higher level

When everybody
Go ballistic
If uou want it
Go ballistic
You got it
Go ballistic
I will tell you
Go ballistic

Can you hear that sound?
They fight oppression with the bass and treble
(Fight the pressures with the bass and treble)

He’s on his soapbox
In the middle of the street a suit in all the heat
Tell it to people who he believes, the nonsense he’s preaching going reach
True dissident talk
Anybody with a brain knows by now
Graduate to the stage, you draw the big crowd?
Propaganda or you get shot down

[Chorus:]

You got that gangsta gangsta

Till you become somebody’s baby father
then all of a sudden you wanna try
change up your ways
And now you rush for straight job
but ain't no working stiff
could ever just resist
All of the things you miss
you still reminisce
about old days.

Those guns you did a keep inna the suitcase
That time you did a broke inna de bank safe
Some youth you did a rob under the drug haze
Right time you end up dead inna the wrong place

-all the dirt you did, you get away with it

For your reflection look inna the youth face
-all the days you lived were never positive
Could it be leaving was a blessing for the childs sake?

That’s Not Your Story...

These are the DAYS of hunger, the nights of thunder
Nobody safe no more
Take a look at all the STRESS we’re under and it’s no wonder
the needy get ignored

ZULU man him a de Boss pon de riddim, anytime
when me kill dem all de people jump, Dem sure
Seh dem recognize the vibes of the number one sound in the
middle of the country where dem all tour….I said that before
